1980: Graduated in Japanese Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts

1982: Completed M.A. in Japanese Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts

1989: Japan Art Academy Prize (Taikan Prize), In-ten Exhibition (also 1990, 1991)

2000: Prime Minister’s Award, In-ten Exhibition

2008: Asia Contemporary Art Fair, New York

2019: Created folding screens for Meiji Jingu Shrine (Sun and Moon, Flowers and Birds of the Four Seasons)
