Appraisal & Purchase

We would be pleased to assist you with appraisals of your valuable artworks—whether for inheritance or current market value—as well as with sales.
Please feel free to consult us about anything.

Appraisal Flow

  1. Step 1

    Scheduling Your Visit or Appointment

Please feel free to contact us first via the inquiry form.
We also accept inquiries by phone or fax.

Note: Your preferred date and time for a visit or on-site appointment may not always be available. Please be sure to contact us in advance to make arrangements.

  2. Step 2

    Required Information

When submitting the inquiry form, please complete the required fields and provide details of the work (artist, title, dimensions, condition, and whether a certificate of authenticity is available).

  3. Step 3

    Our Response

We will contact you within three business days.

  1. Step 4

    Appraisal

Depending on your request, we will examine the work at our gallery or at your location.
We generally provide on-site appraisal free of charge; however,
some cases may not be eligible for free service. Thank you for your understanding.

  2. Step 5

    Purchase Offer

After examining the work and confirming your preferences,
we will present the current purchase price or propose the best option, such as auction consignment.

  3. Step 6

    Purchase Agreement

If you agree to the appraised amount, you will be asked to sign the agreement.
After verifying your identification, payment will be made in cash or to your designated bank account.

Auction

If you prefer auction to direct purchase, we can consign your work to “Senzokukai,” an auction organized by our company.

“Senzokukai” is one of Japan’s largest regular dealer-only exchanges (auctions) for modern and contemporary art, hosted by a private association. Around 300 vetted art dealers from across the country gather to trade, and the market has maintained top-tier standing in both transaction volume and prestige for over 20 years. For details, please confirm at the time of appraisal.

Payment and Certificates

[Items to prepare for purchase]
• A copy of the seller’s ID (e.g., driver’s license, health insurance card, or passport) • Personal seal (inkan/hanko)

Under the Secondhand Articles regulations, identity verification is required when purchasing works. Accordingly, we will check your identification at the time of purchase. Thank you for your understanding.

Depending on the artist, a certificate of authenticity issued by the designated authentication body may be required to handle the work. If you already have a certificate, please have it ready in advance.

If a certificate is required and you do not have one, we will temporarily hold the work, request authentication from the relevant organization, and obtain the certificate on your behalf. When we take custody of a work, we issue a receipt and handle it with the utmost care.

We represent and handle works by leading stars of the contemporary Nihonga (Japanese painting) scene, eminent late masters who represent Japan, and promising young artists poised to become the stars of tomorrow.
We curate across generations, from established figures to emerging talent.
